If you’re reading this on my website and it’s not the first time you’ve been here you may notice something looks different. Actually, a lot looks different. I have a new logo, new design, new words on my website.
It’s been almost a year and a half since I set out on my freelance adventures. I’ve learned more than I’ve been able to reflect on (yet), worked harder than ever and loved every moment. Ok, that’s a lie. The past 15 months have not been without their challenges and there have been days I’ve wanted to stay in bed and cry (no, really!). But when I look at the big picture of it all, everything is wonderful.
I’ve worked with some intelligent, creative, kind people, many of whom I still work with as part of their team. Seems I’ve found a beautiful place working with other agencies as their social specialist which has brought much joy and perhaps eased the move from full time employment to being self-employed without intention but not without appreciation.
Working across a range of clients and pieces of work has helped me refine what I really enjoy working on and when it’s better for everyone to work with others who are specialists in their craft.
The major tick has been sticking to my ‘business plan’ of working with people I like and respect, doing work I enjoy, expanding my knowledge and strengthening my breadth of experience across a range of industries.
And so I decided it’s time to try on a new look that I think will stick around for a while now. I called on one of the wonderful people in my life who happens to be a designer and she created this diamond concept with a logo, font and pics to boot. Thank you Kate McCrossin (ask me for her details!). And then I called upon Aaron Rutley to manage the move from my previous site and the process has been as smooth as I never thought websites could be! Thank you.
So here it is… hope you like it!
