My mother once said to me, “my darling, start as you mean to finish.” I think it was in response to a teenage meltdown about a boy but it’s advice that has carried true through all aspects of my life.
In business, this advice reminds me to set the tone for a working relationship from the very beginning.
In life, it’s about growth and truly knowing myself so the decisions I make become more intuitive.
I’m finding I need to remind myself less about these words of wisdom as it become more ingrained in my thinking and approach to life. As I grow older, I’m more aware of the variables and external forces that cause intentions to waiver and the path that was set to blur. I can better forsee what may lie ahead, which means I can begin and end in the way intended.
What’s the best advice you’ve been given?
